Responsible use

FbTracker Responsible Use & Safety Charter

One charter, linked from the footer of every page. FbTracker helps you watch and secure your own Facebook account, or a minor child or consenting adult, using only official Facebook and Meta security surfaces. Anything that crosses into someone else's private account is a hard line we don't cross.

See our hard boundaries
Official channels only
Every real action happens on Facebook's and Meta's own security screens, not ours.
We never ask for your password
No credentials, no login handoff; a request for your password is always a red flag.
Owner and consent only
Your own account, or a minor child or consenting adult supervised through Meta tools.
No guarantees, no myths
We debunk 'see who viewed your profile' and never promise to unmask anyone.

This charter is linked from the footer of every FbTracker page and applies to all of them.

We do

  • โœ“ Guide you through securing your own Facebook account
  • โœ“ Show you how to review your own login and activity history on Facebook
  • โœ“ Help you turn on official login alerts for unrecognized sign-ins
  • โœ“ Walk you through logging out devices and sessions you don't recognize
  • โœ“ Explain consent-based supervision of a minor child via Meta's tools

We never

  • โœ— Access, watch, or read anyone else's private account
  • โœ— Find, guess, reset, or steal any password
  • โœ— Bypass 2FA, OTP codes, or any Facebook security control
  • โœ— Recover permanently deleted messages, posts, or data
  • โœ— Promise to unmask an intruder or guarantee any outcome

If a task requires touching an account you don't own or don't have real consent to supervise, FbTracker is the wrong tool and we will say so.

Hard lines FbTracker will never cross

โ›” We do not covertly monitor another person's account
Secretly tracking someone else's Facebook is surveillance, not security, and in most places it is illegal.
โ†’ Monitor only your own account, or supervise a minor via Meta's Family Center with the child aware.
โ›” We do not bypass 2FA, OTP, or login codes
Those controls exist to protect accounts, and defeating them is exactly what an attacker does.
โ†’ Strengthen your own protection through Facebook's Security Checkup and turn 2FA on.
โ›” We do not find, reset, or crack passwords
There is no legitimate way to obtain another person's password, and no honest service offers one.
โ†’ Recover your own access through Facebook's official account recovery flow.
โ›” We do not recover permanently deleted data
Once Facebook purges content past its retention window, it is gone; anyone claiming otherwise is selling a myth.
โ†’ Download a copy of your own information from Facebook's Download Your Information tool going forward.
โ›” We do not identify intruders or guarantee outcomes
We cannot name a hacker or promise your account is safe forever; certainty like that is a scam signal.
โ†’ Act on the real signals Facebook shows you and report compromise through Facebook's help channels.

FAQ

Can FbTracker help me monitor someone else's Facebook without them knowing?
No. That is covert surveillance, it is off-limits here, and in most jurisdictions it is illegal. FbTracker only helps you secure your own account, or supervise a minor child or consenting adult through Facebook's official tools with their awareness.
Do you ever need my Facebook password?
Never. FbTracker does not collect, store, or ask for passwords, and no legitimate action requires handing yours to a third party. Every login and security step happens on Facebook's own screens where you stay in control. Anyone asking for your password is a scam.
Can you tell me who hacked my account or who viewed my profile?
No. Facebook does not offer a 'who viewed your profile' feature, and no service can reliably unmask an intruder. What you can do is review the logins, devices, and locations Facebook itself records, end anything you don't recognize, and report compromise through Facebook's help channels.
Is supervising my child's Facebook allowed?
Yes, when it is done openly through Meta's parental supervision and Family Center tools and your child is aware of it. FbTracker points you to those official surfaces. It does not help you secretly read a child's private messages, and hidden monitoring is outside this charter.
Can you recover messages or posts I deleted a long time ago?
No. Once content passes Facebook's retention window it is permanently gone, and claims to restore it are a common scam. Going forward you can keep your own copy using Facebook's Download Your Information tool.
